Yesterday went fine. Aside from my head being in a weird place all day, everything went well with the party. I managed to get everyone organized in the morning, including a bath for Siahna, a hair-cut/trim for Cayden and a shower for both him and Zavien, and we got to Target with just enough time to get a present for the birthday boy. We got back home right at lunch time so I quickly made food for everyone and got Dallen and Tayne into bed for a nap. Cayden and Zavien helped wrap the present and then went upstairs to draw and color, while I dealt with Siahna until it was time to leave.

I had to wake Dallen and Tayne from their nap, but they got an hour of sleep so werenapos;t too grumbly. We headed out to the party and got there on time. I ended up deciding to stay rather than load the littlies back into the van and drive home just to have to load them back in an hour later and drive back.

So we hung out at the party. Cayden and Zavien were obviously doing party things, and I spent the time mostly keeping an eye on Dallen and Tayne and dealing with Siahna. I wore her in the BabyHawk for most of the time. I even managed to feed her while in it. First time nursing in public, though I donapos;t even think anyone noticed.

Everyone was mostly well-behaved, save for Dallenapos;s threenager moments. Man, sometimes I really want to smack him upside the head. I get so embarrassed when my kids are defiant in public.

All in all we were at the party for about two and a half hours and it went fine. Iapos;m definitely getting better at dealing with all 5 kids, especially when it comes to store trips. Iapos;ve pretty much got that down. Being at an event with all 5 is more difficult, but manageable. I should have packed more snacks for Dallen and Tayne though.

Not sure whatapos;s on the agenda for today. My head is still in a weird place and Iapos;d much rather curl up in bed with Siahna and just chill, but there are little humans who need my attention and things to be done. Dallen and Tayne are playing together with Geotrax and Cayden and Zavien are upstairs coloring. Siahna just had a perfect apos;sessionapos; - slept well, then woke, ate calmly for 20 minutes, then just hung out downstairs looking super cute and wide-eyed, she let everyone hold her and fawn over her without getting overwhelmed or grumpy, then once she hit the hour mark of being awake she started yawning so I took her upstairs, wrapped her up, and nursed her to sleep. She didnapos;t wake back up immediately fussing, yay. So yeah, everyone is doing their own thing for the moment so I should take this opportunity to get a few chores done.
